Analog  (and some Not-So-Analog) Links

We have found the following web sites to be useful.  If the list seems somewhat thin, it's because we've included only those sites that have actually helped solve one of our problems.

HART Communication Foundation (HCF) The official site for HART (Highway Addressable Remote Transducer).   HART is the de facto standard for data communication by analog 4-20 mA devices in   industrial process control.  HCF maintains and sells Standards for HART.   Web site contains list of member companies, products, news, etc.
Engineering Software Database Maintained by American Society of Mechanical Engineers.  Lots of software that can be downloaded.  Seems to be hard to find using search engines.
SCW Online Catalog Contains lists of books.  Very helpful for things like locating full titles or publishers of out-of-print books.  Search by Author, Title, or Subject.
Foundation Fieldbus The official site for Foundation Fieldbus.  Foundation Fieldbus (FF) is an emerging data communications technique for industrial process control.  FF promises to replace analog communication in fundamental process devices, such as valves and pressure transmitters.  The Foundation exists to promote FF and maintains and sells Standards, app notes, etc.  Site is still under construction as of 1-1-99.
WWWVL Electrical and Electronics Engineering WWW Virtual Library of Electrical and Electronic Engineering:  A large source of information on Electrical/Electronic Engineering; including lists of consulting companies, Universities, magazines and journals, etc.
Romilly Bowden Romilly Bowden is a HART and Fieldbus expert in the United Kingdom/Europe. Romilly is author of  the HART "Technical Overview".  Site contains downloadable software to predict HART performance.  Good practical information about HART.
Instrument and Controls Q and A Interesting Link for Process Control.  Includes a "Debate" section in which you can give your opinion on a control-related matter.
Norhern Light Search Engine Tired of coming up with junk when you do an Internet search?   This seems to be one of the better search engines around.
